Takoda’s information technology training programs are designed to help you get the skills and credentials needed to quickly enter in-demand IT support jobs. Takoda is a CompTIA certified training provider and successful students will graduate with A+, N+, or IT Fundamentals credentials. Our intimate class sizes and caring instructors ensure that you are learning in a supportive and career-focused environment. IT Fundamentals

6 weeks, Monday-Thursday, Virtual

 

CompTIA Information Technology Fundamentals helps students gain a better understanding of information technology and explore careers in the field. The Takoda Institute provides rigorous instruction, test preparation, and credential testing.

CompTIA A+ is the industry standard for launching IT support careers. A+ certified professionals are problem solvers who support core technologies from security to cloud to data management and more.

Prerequisites

To enroll in this course, students must have their CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification, six months of work experience in an IT support position, or 45 post-secondary credits in information technology.

Network+

6 weeks, Monday-Thursday
2:00pm-4:30pm, In-person

 

Network+ ensures an IT professional has the knowledge and skills needed to design and implement functional networks, configure, manage and maintain essential network devices, and more. Rigorous instruction, exam preparation, and credential testing is available through the Takoda Institute. Lessons include computer forensic practices, network monitoring, and routing protocols.

Prerequisites

To enroll in this course, students must have their CompTIA A+ certification, six months of work experience in an IT support position, or 45 post-secondary credits in information technology.

Security+

6 weeks, Monday-Thursday
2:00pm-5pm, In-person

 

CompTIA Security+ is the first security certification a candidate should earn. It establishes the core knowledge required of any cybersecurity role and provides a springboard to intermediate-level cybersecurity jobs. Security+ incorporates best practices in hands-on troubleshooting, ensuring candidates have practical security problem-solving skills required to:

  • Assess the security posture of an enterprise environment and recommend and implement appropriate security solutions
  • Monitor and secure hybrid environments, including cloud, mobile, and IoT
  • Operate with an awareness of applicable laws and policies, including principles of governance, risk, and compliance
  • Identify, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents

To enroll in this course, students must have their CompTIA A+ & Network+ certifications, six months of work experience in an IT support position, or 45 post-secondary credits in information technology.
