Program Description
This three-month career education program trains students for a range of entry-level positions in healthcare administration. You will be prepared for essential positions working in patient registration, insurance verification, electronic health records, and HIPAA certification. Takoda’s career counselors will help you find employment in your field of study once you graduate.
Most Takoda students complete training at no-cost thanks to generous public and private scholarships.

Placement & Career Path
Medical secretaries are in the top 7% of in-demand jobs in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Region with expected growth of 15% (Minnesota Department of Employment & Economic Development, 2019). Takoda’s career coaches help students obtain employment following their training by assisting with developing resumes, job searching, and preparing for interviews.
Because of employment requirements, a criminal background check is required to enroll in this program.
